I’m very excited to share with you the outcome of a recent branding project for VIX Decor.
VIX Decor produces artistic, elegant plug and play interior decoration for hotel lobbies, cafes and other such common spaces. It was gratifying to work as a designer for such a design first brand which aims to present a refined aesthetic. The name VIX is derived from the word VIXEN - meaning female fox
VIX Decor's primary marketing message is “inspiring imagination” as they look to bring beauty to functional products like bookshelves. They wanted the branding to take on a casual tone and wished for the logo to be conceptual or self-explanatory.
Fortunately, the jigsaw or tangram style logo served the dual purpose of being reflective of the products themselves, as well as representing the elegant minimalism they wished to project as a brand. I infused some Warli Indian folk art style to give the designs a bit more life.
Once the logo was complete, the iconography of the brand could be made by intelligently re-arranging the elements of the brand logo itself.
It was extremely gratifying to work as a designer for such a design first brand which aims to present a refined aesthetic. Enjoy the process and leave your comments below. Thank you.
